Category Confirmations at EMMYs'13

According to the EMMY official calendar, the nominations ballots will be distributed on June 10, returning them to Ernst & Young on June 28. As ruled by Academy of Television Arts & Science, nominees can be submitted by producers of show, or by potential nominees themselves.

Here is a breakdown of submissions by most important TV shows this year:

MODERN FAMILY:

Supporting Actor - Ty Burrell, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Nolan Gould, Ed O'Neill, Eric Stonestreet

Supporting Actress - Julie Bowen, Sofia Vergara, Ariel Winter

Guest Actor - Benjamin Bratt, Matthew Broderick, Nathan Lane, Rob Riggle, Fred Willard

Guest Actress - Elizabeth Banks, Paget Brewster, Wendi McLendon-Covey, Elizabeth Pena

According to my current predictions (will be posted shortly) Ty, Jesse, Ed, Eric, Julie & Sofia get their respective supporting nominations, however as I already discussed Jesse or Ed may get some trouble making final list. 

The same time, Elizabeth Banks gets a huge buzz for her guest performance as Sal and Matthew Broderick has a huge chance to get his second Emmy nomination.

GAME OF THRONES:

Supporting Actor - Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Peter Dinklage, Kit Harrington

Supporting Actress - Emilia Clarke, Michelle Fairley, Lena Headey

Guest Actor - Ciaran Hinds

Guest Actress - Diana Rigg

Most realistic nominees are Peter Dinklage & Michelle Fairley - who just blew our minds in the 9th episode by seven minutes performance at the Red Wedding.

HOUSE OF CARDS:

Lead Actor - Kevin Spacey

Lead Actress - Robin Wright

Supporting Actor - Mahershala Ali, Sebastian Arcelus, Michael Kelly, Corey Stoll

Supporting Actress - Kristen Connolly, Sakina Jaffrey, Kate Mara, Constance Zimmer

Kevin and Robin seem to be shoo-in nominees in respective categories. But I think Carey Stoll has a lot chance to be nominated. 

BATES MOTEL:

Lead Actress - Vera Farmiga

Supporting Actor - Freddie Highmore

Guest Actor - Jere Burns, Mike Vogel

Freddie Highmore for supporting role?! Seriously? I believe he is totally lead actor, since the show is about his character. He has most screen time and everything just happens around him and his mother (Vera Farmiga). But still Freddie's not much potential, Vera seems to be more deserving for dramatic and insane role as killer sons mother. 

ARRESTED DEVELOPMENT:

Lead Actor - Jason Bateman

Lead Actress - Portia de Rossi

Supporting Actor - Will Arnett, Michael Cera, David Cross, Jeffrey Tambor

Supporting Actress - Alia Shawkat, Jessica Walter

Guest Actor - Ed Begley Jr., Terry Crews, Chris Diamantopoulos, Ron Howard, Seth Rogen, Ben Stiller, John Slattery, Carl Weathers, Henry Winkler

Guest Actress - Maria Bamford, Isla Fisher, Judy Greer, Liza Minnelli, Mary Lynn Rajskub, Christine Taylor, Mae Whitman, Kristen Wiig

With one of the most number of submissions, Arrested Development make a huge comeback, being the biggest rival to Modern Family and its cast.
