The Good, The Bad and The Ugly of EMMY 2012

Yesterday Academy of Television Arts and Science awarded TV actors, directors, writers and producers for the best achievements during the last year. The results were a little bit different from predictions and expectations TV critics and show-lovers stated before.

THE GOOD AT EMMY

Modern Family champted with 4 wins, including best Comedy Series, Best Supp. Actress Julie Bowen, best Supp. Actor Eric Stonestreet and Directing. These are the most deserved wins so far. Last year Modern Family had perfect season with lots of laughs, amazing craft and story.

Julia Louis-Dreyfus claimed another award for her leading role in Veep. So did Claire Danes (Homeland) who was considered unbeaten in Drama Actress nomination.

4 times Oscar nominee Julianne Moore accepted her first EMMY for portraying Sarah Palin in Game Change. Also, as predicted, Jessica Lange won this award for horror genre miniseries American Horror Story.

THE BAD AT EMMY

Mad Men could not set another record for 5 time consequent wins losing with Homeland in Outstanding Drama Series nominations and became the biggest loser of Emmy history by losing all 17 nominations.

Damian Lewis won his best Drama Actor nomination leaving behind Golden Globe winner Steve Buscemi, Michael C. Hall and Jon Hamm - probably the biggest disappointment on this year's show.

Aaron Paul of Breaking Bad won over Golden Globe winner Peter Dinklage in drama supp. actor nomination.

THE UGLY AT EMMY

Sherlock went with empty hands by losing: Miniseries nomination to Game Change, best actor to Kevin Costner of Hatfields and McCoys, supporting actor to Tom Berenger of Hatfields and McCoys, Directing to Game Change.

The most number of trophies was claimed by Modern Family and Homeland (4).

The Red Carpet:
Nicole Kidman & Keith Urban
Perfect Sofia Vergara
Winner Aaron Paul
Jesse Tyler of Modern Family with BF

Ugh, I like Aaron Paul in Breaking Bad, but it should have gone to Dinklage. He was outstanding in the last couple of seasons of GoT. It's also really annoying to see Buscemi lose. I am glad to see Julia Louis-Dreyfuss win for Veep. She's so damn funny :)

Yep, I love Dinklage too and Dreyfuss. She makes me laugh every time I watch VEEP
